“The rise in book bans is truly frightening. History tells us that censorship is a harbinger of the rise of fascism. America was built on the cornerstone of freedom. We must work together to fight censorship in all its forms, including book bans.”
—Banned Books for All Founder Scott Gerber

We need your support!

Book banning is the most widespread form of censorship. It occurs when governments, organizations, or private individuals remove books from libraries, school reading lists, or bookstore shelves because they object to the book’s content, ideas, or themes.

Our plan to defeat the censors:

Free banned books for young people!

It’s really very simple. Banned Books for All will buy ebook versions of banned books and give them away, at no cost, to young people ages 12 to 17 nationwide.

The majority of Americans believe that it’s important for our youth to have easy, uncensored access to books that aid in their development and growth as healthy individuals and empowered, informed citizens. Our goal is to make these books freely available.

We will use your donation and the donations of thousands of other Americans who are fed up with these bullies and their bans to buy banned books and inform American youth that they can be download from our web site for free.
